Life upside down

We recently dove at a truly remarkable site covered in life. And when I say covered... I mean every square inch, including the bottoms of rocks! It was a first for me to look under a boulder and see a thriving community happily living entirely upside down.

A community living inverted. It was incredible to see anemones anchored and living upside down!

Taking pictures here felt like trying to capture the essence of a Jackson Pollock painting. Where do you focus when everything in front of you is full of life? It really is incredible how much life is supported in the cold, often dark waters of the Antarctic.
